How to Pair a Superlink to a J-150 or J-70 Controller

1. Confirm the controller is already paired to the drone 0:10

  • Start on the controller and confirm it shows System Ready.
  • This indicates the controller is already paired to the drone and is ready for the Superlink setup.
  • Next, navigate to the Device page to begin the Superlink pairing process.

2. Open the RTK Station page on the controller 0:17

  • On the left side of the Device page, scroll until you find RTK Station.
  • Select RTK Station to access the pairing options for the Superlink.
  • Keep this page open while you power on the Superlink.

3. Power on the Superlink 0:37

  • Locate the Superlink device.
  • It should be off at first.
  • Long press the power button to turn it on.
  • Once the LEDs begin to light up, short press the power button again if needed to fully start it.

4. Wait for the Superlink LEDs to indicate readiness 1:06

  • Pay attention to the three LEDs on the Superlink:
    • Drone
    • RC
    • Satellite
  • At first, the RC light may show red, which means the Superlink is still starting up.
  • Wait until the RC, drone, and satellite LEDs are flashing green before continuing.

5. Put the Superlink into pairing mode 1:39

  • Once all required LEDs are flashing green, long press the power button on the left side of the Superlink.
  • The RC LED should change to flashing green and red, which confirms the Superlink is now in pairing mode.

6. Start pairing from the controller 2:02

  • Return to the controller’s RTK Station page.
  • Tap the Connect button on the right side of the screen.
  • When prompted, select Confirm to begin pairing.
  • The controller’s pairing indicator should start flashing green and red.

7. Wait for the controller and Superlink to connect 2:16

  • Allow the controller time to search and pair.
  • Pairing can take 1 to 5 minutes.
  • If successful, the controller will connect to the Superlink automatically.

8. Use Fast Align if pairing does not complete 2:38

  • If the controller does not pair right away, tap Fast Align at the bottom of the screen.
  • This forces the controller to cycle through the pairing frequencies again.
  • Confirm the prompt if asked, then wait for another pairing attempt.

9. Verify the connection was successful 3:25

  • Once paired, the device serial number will appear on the right side of the screen.
  • You should also see an activation status at the bottom of the Device page.
  • These indicators confirm the Superlink is connected to the controller.

10. Set the Superlink to base station mode 3:37

  • The Superlink is currently set to base mode, so you need to enable it for use.
  • On the same Device page, scroll up to the Base Station section.
  • Select J-Link.
  • This enables the Superlink to act as a base station so you can continue flying with it connected.
