How to safely factory reset the EAV J150 J70 remote controller (RC) and get it back to a working, logged-in state

Important Note: Before starting, make sure any logs or information you need from the controller have been uploaded or transferred to another device. A factory reset erases all data on the controller and returns it to its default configuration — there's no recovering it afterward.

Reset the controller. Open 'Settings', scroll to the info ('i') icon at the bottom of the page, and select the reset icon (clock with a counterclockwise arrow). From there, go to 'Reset options', select 'Factory reset', then 'Erase all data'. Once the reset finishes, power the RC back on.

Clear the pre-loaded Chinese language settings. The RC ships with Chinese language options loaded by default, and these need to be removed after a reset. Go back into 'Settings' and the info ('i') icon at the bottom of the page, then select the globe icon, followed by the language ('A') icon. Select the '+' icon and add 'English (United States)'. Then select the three-dot menu in the top right corner, select the Chinese language entry, check the box to its left, and select the trash can icon in the top right to remove it. Back out using the arrow in the top left corner.

From the same language settings screen, select 'G-board', then select it again, and go to 'Language'. Select the pencil icon in the top right corner, check the boxes next to the Chinese keyboard languages, and select the trash bin icon in the top right corner to remove them.

Reconnect Wi-Fi and verify the date/time. Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the quick access menu, then tap and hold the Wi-Fi icon until the Wi-Fi settings page opens. Select your Wi-Fi network and connect. Confirm the date and time on the controller are correct before continuing.

Reinstall the app. Uninstall the existing EAV Smartag app, then power cycle the RC (turn it off and back on). Open Google Chrome and go to the latest app download link. If the drone and RC firmware are not on the 6/25/2026 version, use the correct app version posted on the Knowledge Hub instead, or contact tech support for the correct link. Once the download finishes, open the Files app on the Android home screen, select the app, and install it — you'll need to grant Chrome permission to install the app when prompted. Open the app once installed and log in with your EAVision account.

If you're unable to log in, check your network connection and your username/password, then power cycle the RC again and try logging in once more.

The factory reset is now complete and the controller is ready to use.

Once the app has downloaded, navigate to the files app on the android homescreen.
Select the app and install.
Give Chrome permission to install the app
Install and open the app
Log in using the EAVision account
IF not logging in, check the network, check the password and username, power cycle the RC again, and attempt to log in again
