How to Update Generator Firmware
Like other DJI products, the D12000i generator contains a charger with its own firmware.
Updating:
- You do not need your generator to be running to update the charger firmware.
- Take a USB to USB-C cable and plug it into the USB port on a T40 controller and the USB-C port on the charger.
- From the home screen of the DJI App on the controller, click the drone icon at the top of the screen to bring up the device information page.
- Wait for a drop down to appear on the “Charging Device” icon.
- Select the drop down and select the newest firmware version for the charging device.
- Click update at the top of the screen.
If you do not have a T40 and still need to update the D12000i generator click the link below on a computer and download DJI Assistant 2 for MG.
- Plug the charging device into the computer with DJI Assistant 2 already open on the screen.
- The program will automatically detect the charging device.
- Select the charging device and go to the firmware tab.
- Select the newest firmware version and hit update.
- Leave the charging device connected to the computer until the update has finished.
