Pump Calculation Error

This issue will appear when the spraying system is on, but the pump is not spraying at the correct rate. This issue usually occurs when something physical is wrong with the spray system like a kinked wire or the spray rod setup is not done correctly.

Cause:

  1. A hose could be kinked.
    1. Especially look for a kink that is closer to the centrifugal motor.
  2. The centrifugal motor could be clogged up, or if it was rebuilt could have been put together wrong.
  3. The pump has gone bad.

Diagnosing:

  1. Look for anything physically wrong that would be slowing down the rate.
    1. Kinked hoses, jammed spinner disk, clogged lines.
    2. The impeller pump module could also be gummed up.
  2. If nothing physical is wrong, check and see if the impeller pump is bad.
    1.  Take the impeller pump apart. When taken apart, manually spin the disk and see if the shaft in the disk spins with it. The disk and shaft should spin together, if not it is damaged.

Solutions:

  1. If a hose is kinked, replace the hose, or just try and squeeze it back to where it won’t throw the error.
  2. If the spray rod is newly assembled it could mean it was put together wrong. Make sure to check that.
  3. If the pump shaft and disk don’t spin together, put a new pump on.

Conclusion:

This is a fairly easy error to fix since it is usually more of a physical error than a software or electrical problem. Look over the spray system and see if it appears there is anything kinked or if a part was rebuilt make sure it was built correctly. If not then check for the pump to be damaged, but that is usually a more rare instance.
