Spreading Template kg/ha

When a template is created, even though the drone is not set to imperial, the RC will display the rate for the template in kilograms per hectare.

Cause:

  1. Just a bug in the firmwares from DJI. They have not addressed the issue as it really isn't a big deal

Diagnosing:

  1. Customer will most likely be asking why the RC is displaying kg/ha and not lb/ac

Solutions:

  1. Finish setting up your template and save
    1. Ask customer what their target rate is and do the conversion for them
      1. Set the rate to what it will be in lb/ac
      2. Set spinner disk to 1300rpm
      3. Set flight speed to desired speed (usually fastest able)
  2. Once the template is saved and the user selects it for the mission being flown, the rate will be in lb/ac.

Conclusion:

We are unsure exactly why this happens but really is not a big issue and is easily solved by simply continuing building the template. Templates can be edited after creation by saving and overriding after making changes, so the customer really doesn’t need to set a converted rate; rather just set it and move on, then change it after it shows lb/ac.
