T30 pump will not turn on and the RC displays a pump disconnected error.
Cause:
- Firmware issues
- For many errors with the T30 downgrading and re-upgrading the firmware on the RC and aircraft.
- The pump has gone bad.
- If the pump has gone bad it can display a pump disconnect error, it has happened that both pumps go bad at the same time as well on T30s.
- The spray module and cable distribution board have gone bad
Diagnosing:
- If only one pump is throwing the error code, disconnect each pump and see if the code switches sides.
- This will allow you to see if the pump has gone bad.
Solutions:
- Downgrade and re-upgrade the firmware of the aircraft and RC.
- Sometimes during installation firmware can create issues.
- Install new pumps
- Sometimes the T30 pumps go bad at the same time.
- Swapping one or both pumps can fix the error.
- Replace spray module and cable distribution board.
- The spray module and cable distribution module will usually both need to be replaced, a short or issue in one will damage the other.
Conclusion:
Usually the first thing to check would be swapping the pumps from side to side even if it's throwing an error for both, we have had swapping the pumps fix the issue. Next downgrading and re-upgrading. Next we replace pumps, and last the spray module and cable distribution board. We go in that order because the first two solutions are the least cost to the customer.
