T40/T20P Swath Control

You are wanting to cut down on the swath of the drone.

Issue:

You are wanting to cut down on the swath of the drone, and only have it spray on one side of the drone. We have made modifications to the centrifugal sprinkler lower cover that allows the user to cut out the full swath width of the drone and either spray inside directly under the drone, or outside of the drone. This will not throw any error codes and will still apply at its desired rate. Pictures will be provided below of what the modification would look like.

Modifications Made:

  1. Below you will find two pictures of how we made this modification. You will see that in the centrifugal sprinkler lower cover we drilled a hole in the bottom plate that is directly under the screw on the right side of the elbow (Image 2.) With that modification it would allow you to spray on the inside of the drone. You would have to change the hole somewhere else for you to spray on the outside of the drone. You also have to put a seal in the bottom of the lower cover. This is so that it does not try to still spray normally and will only spray out of the drilled out hole.

Reasons:

  1. Orchard spraying.
    1. This would allow you to be able to fly directly over the trees and spray right on top of them by spraying only directly below the drone.
    2. It would also allow you to fly in between the rows and cover trees on both sides of the drone, without having a waste of liquid that is being sprayed under the drone and covering nothing.
  2. Spot spraying.
    1. Again if you are wanting to spot spray directly below the drone, you could modify the drone to where it would only spray directly under the drone, with much less waste of chemicals.
  3. Spraying in between rows.
    1. If you are spraying in between wide rows, you would be able to have the drone spray just the rows and not spray directly under the drone where there is no need for the product.
