Tank Saying Empty at 0.4 Gallons

The tank is saying it is empty right after it hits 0.4 gallons left. There are several causes of this issue.

Cause:

  1. The weight calibration was not done correctly.
  2. The liquid level meter has not been calibrated.
  3. K values are not inputted correctly
  4. The liquid level meter module has gone bad.
  5. The liquid level meter is damaged or misaligned.
  6. The spraying adaptive module is damaged.
  7. The spray module is bad.

Diagnosing:

  1. Make sure K values are imputed for the drone and to calibrations.
    1. K values are in the advanced setting of the weight calibrations
  2. If allowable put the tank in a different drone and see if the problem stays with the tank or drone.
  3. If calibrations don’t solve the problem, then it is one of the modules or liquid level meters.
  4. Make sure the liquid level meter is sitting correctly in the tank and liquid level meter module is screwed tightly to the tank
  5. Look to see if there is any visible damage to the liquid level meter module.

Solutions:

  1. Add in K values, and redo all the weight calibrations and liquid level meter calibrations.
  2. The Liquid Level Meter is not lined up correctly. There is a little insert piece that your Liquid Level Meter will need to be aligned on.
  3. Replace the liquid level meter module, then the liquid level meter.
    1. This is what reads the last 0.4 gallons, if one is bad that's why it is struggling with that weight.
  4. The spray adaptive module would be next and that is the module on the back of the tank.
  5. Do the spray module last, if nothing on the tank fixes the problem.

Conclusion:

Most likely the problems will be fixed by changing out either the liquid level meter module or the liquid level meter. This is what helps the tank read those last 0.4 gallons

and lets the drone know when the tank is completely out. If those are damaged or misaligned it will give a wrong reading. Always check and make sure when the tank is having weight issues that the K values are inserted and that the tank has gone through new weight calibrations. Sometimes a simple recalibration can fix the issue. If none of those solutions solve the issue, try the spray adaptive module first. Its what everything on the tank plugs into and could have gotten damaged. Lastly, try the spray module.
