Autel Evo Max4T, Tracking
Tracking example, how to manually select an object to track.
How to Manually Select an Object to Track with Autel EVO Max 4T
Simple Step-by-Step Guide
1
Position Your Drone
Fly your drone to a safe area and point the camera towards the objects you want to track.
2
Select Tripod Mode
Open the menu in the Autel Enterprise App and select "Tripod" mode.
Once activated, objects that the AI can detect will have a dot appear in the middle of them.
3
Track an Object
For AI-detected objects (with dots):
- Simply tap on the dot of the object you want to track
For objects without dots:
- Drag your finger to create a box around the object you want to track
Once selected, the camera will lock on to the object and begin tracking. The drone will maintain its forward orientation towards the tracked object, and you'll still have movement controls available.
4
Stop Tracking
To unlock/stop tracking:
- Draw a small box in a blank area of the camera feed, or
- Select Tripod again in the menu to turn off the tracking mode completely
Additional Tips
Thermal Camera: The thermal camera does not display object markers (dots). To track using thermal, first lock onto an object using the normal camera, then switch to thermal view.
- Ensure the tracked object has good contrast with the background for reliable tracking
- To switch tracked objects, first draw a small box in a blank area, then select the new object
- Always maintain visual line of sight with your drone
- Make sure your drone has the latest firmware for optimal tracking performance
Troubleshooting
- No dots appearing: Make sure you've selected Tripod mode from the menu
- Object not being tracked: Try drawing a box around it manually
- Tracking lost: The object may blend too much with the background or be moving too fast
- Can't unlock tracking: Draw a small box in an empty area or toggle Tripod mode off
