EAV Intelligent Battery care
An overview of how to care for your EAV intelligent batteries
Getting your new batteries:
- All new batteries should be slow charged for the first three cycles
- This can be done by plugging your charger into a 110V outlet
- Or you can adjust the Wattage the charger is drawing to 3000W. This can be done from the power setting bottom on the remote, as shown in the photo below.
- When a battery is placed in a drone for the first time you will be prompted to activate the battery, after a battery has been activated you should check that it has been updated to the latest firmware version.
- Storage:
- When not in use your batteries should be stored properly in accordance with your user's manual
- If storing for long periods of time it is important to maintain 30-60% battery, fully charging every 60 days
- Batteries should not be stored in the drone, as during auto discharge they can turn the aircraft on, leading to excessive wear.
- Cleaning
- Batteries may be cleaned with water while inserted in the the drone.
- Battery terminals may NOT be cleaned with water.
- It is recommended to clean battery terminals with with alcohol or dielectric grease
