      ESC Reconfiguration Procedure for J100 Drone

      Step by step how to reconfigure the Electronic Speed Controllers (ESCs) on the J100 drone after replacement or when indicated by the ESC lights.

      Key Steps

       

      1. Remove Front Cover 0:29

      • Approach the front of the drone.

      • Carefully pull off the front cover.

       

      2. Disconnect Internal Battery 0:35

      • Locate the cable labeled '201s bat' on the front left of the drone.

      • Unplug this cable to disconnect the internal battery.

       

      3. Power On the Drone 1:01

      • Turn on the drone.

      • Ensure the remote is powered on and waiting on the home page for connection.

       

      4. Access Device Settings 1:18

      • Wait for the drone to initialize and connect.

      • Navigate to the 'Device' section on the remote.

       

      5. Check ESC Configuration Status 1:33

      • Scroll down to the UAV page.

      • Look for the ESC section to see if it says 'configured'.

       

      6. Start ESC Configuration Process 1:54

      • Scroll down to find 'motor ESC'.

      • Tap the blue button labeled 'configuration ID' to initiate the configuration.

       

      7. Complete Configuration 2:05

      • Wait for the screen to display 'configuration finished'.

      • Observe that all ESCs flash their respective colors intermittently.

       

      8. Power Down the Drone 2:23

      • Turn off the flight battery.

      • This will ensure a full power down of the drone.

       

      9. Restart the Drone 2:38

      • Turn the power back on to the drone.

       

      10. Verify ESC Configuration 2:58

      • Check the device screen again.

      • Ensure the ESC status shows 'configured' and verify the color of each ESC.

      Cautionary Notes

      • Always ensure the drone is powered off before disconnecting any cables to avoid damage.

      • Double-check that the correct ESCs are configured to prevent flight issues.
