How to Use the portable base station
1. Set Up Portable Base Station 0:48
- Unbox the portable base station from the hard case, install the antenna, and set up on the tripod.
- Set the tripod as high as possible on a level surface.
- Connect the USB power cable to a power bank or use the 12-volt battery cable.
- Press the 'On' button to boot up the unit.
- Wait for the unit to boot and connect (indicated by a red light).
- Note the displayed channel - you will input this on the tractor screen.
- Use arrow buttons to switch channels - Use channels 10-18 for the Autosteer system!
4. Access Settings Menu 2:26
- Press the 'OK' button three times to enter the settings menu.
5. Set Radio Tower Option 3:24
- Navigate to radio tower icon
- Press 'OK'
- Ensure the selection box is around the radio tower option and press 'OK'.
- Press the back button to exit
- On the HD-408 monitor, go to the gray radio station tab in the top left of the screen
- Select 'Manual Selection' for connection type.
- Select 'Radio Station' check box on the left side
6. Input Frequency and Protocol 4:32
- Enter the frequency displayed on the base station into the monitor.
- Set the Air Baud Rate to 9600.
- Change the protocol type from 'TRIMTALK' to 'TRANSEOT'.
7. Reset GNSS and Confirm Connection 5:18
- Press 'Reset GNSS' and then 'OK'.
- Wait for the system to switch RTK data source (indicated by success message).
8. Verify RTK Fix 5:31
- Monitor the status until it shows 'Fixed RTK' and has adequate satellites.
9. Enable Auto Steering 6:11
- Drive forward to allow the tractor to determine its position.
- If connected to Wi-Fi, press the globe button to load Google Maps.
- You can enable auto steering once 'Fixed RTK' is confirmed.
