Initial Setup Process (Step by Step) - HD408 Auto Steer
- Follow the included installation instructions and videos for hardware installation
- Update the firmware prior to initial calibration. See the article below for instructions: https://knowledgebase.agrispraydrones.com/hd408-autosteer-gnss-setup
- Once the firmware has been updated, choose if you would like to use PPP GNSS or a Cellular RTK network for your correction source. The article from #2 will assist in the PPP GNSS setup process. Cellular RTK can be set up in the same menu.
- The system will begin connecting to satellites once a correction source has been selected. The RTK state must say “Fixed” to begin calibration. This step will require 10-15 minutes for proper connection. See this article for detailed instructions on reaching a “Fixed” RTK State:

- Go to the settings tab. Complete “Quick Calibration.” See the article below for more tips:

- Once Quick Calibration has been completed. The system is ready for operation.
- Sensitivity settings will vary depending on machine size, type, and installation location. The “Controls” tab in the bottom right hand corner of the screen will allow you to adjust these parameters for consistent tracking on A/B lines. See the article below for recommended adjustments.

- In the Settings tab, change units to imperial for the best user experience.
- In the Settings tab, go to Advanced Calibration > Manual Steering Override Calibration.
Turn this ON and set sensitivity to desired level (Level 1-2 recommended). This is a safety feature that allows you to override Autosteering at any time by turning the wheel manually.
