How to Fly two J100s in the Same Field
This Article explains how to prevent signal interference when operating two EA Vison J100 remotes in close proximity.
Objective:
When operating in larger fields some operators find it beneficial to operate two spray drones to increase their efficiency. As of Today May 6th, 2025 the EA Vison J100 remote does not reliably switch transmission frequency out of the box, meaning when operating two drones in close proximity to each other the remotes are trying to talk over each other causing interruptions to connection between the drone and remote.
While EA is working on fixing the frequency switching logic, we have a temporary solution to this issue. In order to prevent these interference issues you must update the P301 module on one of you remote controls.
Key Steps:
- From the Home Screen Navigate to the Device Tab on the Left hand side
- From the Device Tab, scroll down the left hand side and select RC
- From The RC Settings screen scroll down and find the P301 Module, press the Upgrade Button next to the P301 Module.
- At this point you will want to make sure that one of your remotes is on version 1.2.3 and and on your second remote you will press the degrade button on version 1.2.2
- After you have completed the update, start your remote.
Additional Notes:
- Please keep in mind if you upgrade both remotes to version 1.2.2 you will experience the same issues as when both remotes are on version 1.2.3, so it is important that both remotes are on different versions.
- EA Vision is working on a different solution for this issue, so please be on the look out for changes to this document when the new version is released.
