AutoMixer V4 How to Use the Pump Control Menu

Features and usage of the Pump Control menu.

The pump control menu allows you to operate individual pumps, and is most often used for testing pumps or cleaning tanks and lines. It is arranged in five rows, with each row controlling a single pump.  It has nine areas to pay attention to:

  1. Pump selection checkbox
    1. Click on each checkbox to select which pumps will be affected by the “Batch Actions” controls (7).
  2. Pump - Pump names
    1. Pump label, looking left to right on the AutoMixer as shown below. Keep in mind that “Pump 1” applies to the first and second of the six physical pumps, and is intended for your carrier product.
  3. Power - Power Toggle
    1. Upon clicking, the given pump will be toggled OFF or ON at the RPM setting specified in the RPM(Rev/Min) field (5).
  4. Direction - Direction Toggle
    1. Sets the direction that the pump will rotate after turning the given pump on. The forward direction is the default direction for the pumps in the “START” and “Products & Calibrate” menus.
      1. Forward -> Counterclockwise
        1. Left -> Inlet
        2. Right -> Outlet
      2. Reverse -> Clockwise
        1. Left -> Outlet
        2. Right -> Inlet
  5. RPM(Rev/Min) - RPM Setting
    1. Sets the rotational velocity, in revolutions per minute, that the pump will rotate when turned on with “Power” (3) toggle.
  6. Max RPM
    1. This value controls the maximum speed that is allowable in a mixing operation. Recommended values are:
      1. Pump 1 -> 275 RPM
      2. Pump 2 -> 275 RPM
      3. Pump 3 -> 300 RPM
      4. Pump 4 -> 300 RPM
      5. Pump 5 -> 300 RPM
  7. Batch Actions
    1. Allows the user to control multiple pumps at the same time. Includes a power slider, a direction slider, and a RPM setting for all selected pumps.
  8. Save Configuration
    1. This will save the Direction (4), RPM(Rev/Min) (5), and Max RPM (6). “Direction” and “RPM(Rev/Min)” saved values will only impact the Pump Control menu. “Max RPM” will affect the maximum RPM allowed during the mixing operation.
  9. Exit
    1. Exit back to the welcome screen. This button will not save your settings- you must click “Save” (8) first to save the given settings.
