How Update the Co-Controller Firmware

 


Key Steps

  1. Preparation

    • Ensure the drone is powered off, including both the external and internal batteries.

    • Open the J100 app on your device.

  2. Connect the USB

    • Locate the USB-C port on the left side of the CPU of the drone.

    • Use a USB-C to USB cable to connect the drone to the remote control.

    • On the app, when prompted, select "OK" to allow the connection.

  3. Initiate Firmware Upgrade

    • Navigate to the "Device" section in the app.

    • Select "Co-Controller" and then click on "Upgrades".

    • Verify that the latest firmware version is 1.0.187.

    • Click "Upgrade" to start the process.

  4. Disconnect and Reconnect

    • Once prompted, unplug the USB cable from the drone.

    • Plug it back in and select "OK" to continue the upgrade.

  5. Complete the Upgrade

    • Wait for the upgrade to complete (you will see a confirmation message).

    • Click "Cancel", then "Close" to finish the upgrade process.

  6. Power On the Drone

    • Disconnect the USB cable from the drone.

    • Power on the drone and allow the CPU to boot up completely.

  7. Verify Firmware Version

    • Reconnect the USB cable to the drone.

    • Select "OK" on the app.

    • Navigate back to "Co-Controller" and click on "Upgrade".

    • If the app still shows "latest" instead of "current," verify the firmware version by going to "Device" > "UAV" > "Module" > "Co-Controller".

    • Ensure the firmware version displayed is 1.0.187.

  • Always ensure that the drone is completely powered off before starting the update process to avoid any electrical issues.

  • Double-check the firmware version before initiating the upgrade to ensure you are installing the correct version.
