      J100 Changing P301 Module on UAV and RC and the differences.

      This article outlines the steps for changing the P301 module on UAV and RC devices to ensure optimal video transmission and communication performance.

      P301 Module Change Procedure, and Why.

      Key Steps

      Ensure The UAV P301 Module is changed before the RC

      Locate the P301 Module 0:13

      • Open the device settings on your UAV controller.

      • Scroll down to find the P301 module.

       

      Identify Current Firmware Version 0:31

      • Check the firmware version number displayed for the P301 module.

       

      Select Firmware Version to Upgrade 0:58

      • Choose between:

        • 1.2.3 (2.4 GHz band) - better for range but more prone to interference.

        • 1.2.2 (5.8 GHz band) - recommended for best reception and less interference.

       

      Perform the Upgrade 2:42

      • Select the desired firmware version to upgrade.

      • Wait for the upgrade process to complete.

       

      Restart the App 3:04

      • Force quit the app by scrolling up and selecting the app box.

      • Reopen the app once the controller has booted back up.

       

      Upgrade the RC Device 3:24

      • Connect to the RC device.

      • Repeat the process to upgrade the P301 module on the RC to the same firmware version.

       

      Final Adjustments and Testing 4:03

      • Adjust antenna positions for optimal signal reception.

      • Assess the flying environment for potential interference.

      Cautionary Notes

      • Always start with the 5.8 GHz band for optimal performance.

      • If experiencing signal issues, check for environmental factors such as:

        • Cell phone towers

        • High power lines

        • Geomagnetic interference

      • Avoid flying behind obstacles that may block the signal.

      • Ensure both the UAV and RC devices are fully charged before starting the upgrade.

      • Keep the devices close to minimize interference during the upgrade process.

      • Document any changes made to the settings for future reference.
