How to Install This Update
Before You Begin
• Power on the J100 with a charged battery and confirm the drone and RC are linked and
communicating
• If any update fails, select Retry before proceeding
Updated Order of Operations
Step 1 — Update the App
Update the EAVision application on the RC to the latest version. Confirm the app update is fully complete before proceeding.
➤ Power Cycle (once Step 1 update is complete): Power off the RC, then power it back on before proceeding to Step 2.
Step 2 — Update CPU
Through the app on the RC, initiate the CPU update. Allow the update to finish fully before proceeding.
➤ Hard Reset (once Step 2 update is complete): Power off the main battery, then pull the internal battery (201 S-Bat). Reinstall the internal battery, then power the drone back on with the main battery. Confirm the drone and RC are linked and communicating before proceeding to Step 3.
Step 3 — Update UAV Firmware
Through the app on the RC, initiate the UAV (drone body) firmware update. Wait for the update to complete successfully before proceeding.
➤ Hard Reset (once Step 3 update is complete): Power off the main battery, then pull the internal battery (201 S-Bat). Reinstall the internal battery, then power the drone back on with the main battery. Confirm the drone and RC are linked and communicating before proceeding.
Update Sequence Summary
- 1. App (EAVision app on RC) → Power cycle RC
- 2. CPU → Hard reset drone (power off main battery, pull internal battery)
- 3. UAV Firmware → Hard reset drone (power off main battery, pull 201 S-Bat)
