      J100 | FPV Module Update How To

      In this article we will show you how to update the J100 fpv module. This should be done if you replace the module or if your experiencing random movements from your fpv camera while your drone is flying.

      You will first need to download and move all 3 files in the google drive folder to a USB flash drive to perform this update.

      Firmware Update Guide for EA Vision J100 Camera Gimbal

      Step 1: Prepare for Firmware Update 0:00

      • Introduce the purpose of the video: updating firmware on the EA Vision J100 camera gimbal.

      • Note that the firmware update cannot be done through the EA Vision flight app due to the use of a third-party FPV camera.

      Step 2: Access the Flash Drive 0:24

      • Ensure the necessary files are downloaded onto a flash drive (linked in the knowledge article).

      • On the controller, swipe up and select either the square or circle button.

      • Swipe down to access settings, then scroll to 'Apps' to find 'Files'.

      Step 3: Open the Flash Drive 1:02

      • Open the 'Files' app and locate the flash drive.

      • Navigate to the flash drive to access the firmware files.

      Step 4: Install the Camera App 1:28

      • Locate the file ending in .apk (S-I-Y-F-P-V) and click on it.

      • Hit 'Continue' and then 'Install'.

      • Set location access to 'While using the app' and deny phone call access.

      Step 5: Copy Firmware Files 2:14

      • Return to the 'Files' app and locate the two files ending in .B-I-N.

      • Select both files and use the 'Copy to' option to move them to the 'Downloads' folder.

      Step 6: Access the SiYi App 3:11

      • Open the SiYi app and navigate to the settings by clicking the three dots in the top right corner.

      • Go to the camera icon and select 'Camera Firmware'.

      Step 7: Upgrade Camera Firmware 3:45

      • Click the upgrade button and navigate to the 'Downloads' folder.

      • Select the file ending in V0.16 SVN and press OK.

      • Wait for the update process to complete (up to 2 minutes).

      Step 8: Perform Second Firmware Update 4:46

      • After the first update, click the second upgrade button.

      • Again, navigate to 'Downloads' and select the file a2mini v1.2.5.

      • Press OK and allow the process to run without interruption.

      Step 9: Confirm Firmware Update 5:23

      • Wait for the message indicating the firmware has been upgraded.

      • Understand that the camera may show an 'invalid firmware' message; do not tap anything during this time.

      Step 10: Uninstall SiYi App 5:58

      • After confirming the update, uninstall the SiYi app to avoid pop-ups during drone operation.

      • Swipe up from the bottom, go to settings, and find the SiYi app under 'Apps'.

      • Confirm the uninstallation.
