Identify LiDAR Units 0:12

  • There are two LiDAR units:

    • Forward LiDAR: Upper, forward-facing unit.

    • Downward LiDAR: Lower, downward-facing unit for height and obstacle detection.

Initial Troubleshooting Steps 0:32

  • If you suspect a problem with the LiDAR:

    • Remove the LiDAR unit from the drone.

    • Shake the unit gently to check for rattling sounds.

    • If rattling is heard, the unit may be damaged and should be replaced.

  • Tools needed:

    • 2.5mm bit

    • Extension tool (optional for better access)

  • Steps to remove the LiDAR:

    1. Remove the four screws holding the LiDAR in place.

    2. If necessary, pull back the front cowling to access the LiDAR.

    3. Disconnect the power and signal plug by pushing down the relief tab.

  • After removing the LiDAR:

    • Shake the unit gently to confirm no rattling.

    • If there is rattling, replace the unit.

  • Steps for installation:

    1. Connect the power and signal plug back into the LiDAR.

    • Start all screws before tightening.
