      J100 How to set up 4G on Remote and Drone

      This article outlines the step by step process for setting up the EAVision J100 drone with 4G connectivity on both the remote controller (RC) and on the drone itself.

      Key Steps to set up RC with 4G:

      1. Insert SIM Card 0:08

      • Locate the SIM card slot on the J-100 controller.

      • Insert the SIM card securely into the slot.

      2. Access Network Settings 0:22

      • Turn on the J-100 controller.

      • Navigate to Settings.

      • Select Network and Internet.

      3. Enable Mobile Network 0:41

      • Look for Mobile Network in the settings (it may not appear immediately).

      • Click on Mobile Network.

      • Follow the prompt to restart the controller.

      4. Restart the Controller 0:41

      • Power off the controller completely.

      • Turn the controller back on.

      5. Confirm Mobile Network Connection 0:57

      • After restarting, go back to Network and Internet settings.

      • Check that Mobile Network is now visible.

      • Select your carrier (e.g., T-Mobile) to confirm data usage.

      • Ensure the signal bar indicates that you are online.

      1. Confirm Internet Connection 0:00

      • Ensure the SIM card is installed in the controller.

      • Verify that there is an active internet connection through the SIM card.

      2. Access the Drone CPU 0:09

      • Locate the cover on the drone's CPU.

      • Carefully remove the cover to access the SIM card slots.

      3. Install the SIM Card 0:19

      • Identify the SIM 1 and SIM 2 slots (preferably use SIM 1).

      • Remove the plastic tray from the chosen slot.

      • Insert the SIM card into the tray with the chip side facing up, ensuring it matches the groove.

      • Reinsert the plastic tray back into the slot.

      4. Power Up the Drone 0:40

      • Power on the drone after reinstalling the SIM card.

      5. Verify Connection Status 0:57

      • Check the home screen for the communication button indicating 'combine mode'.

      • Click on the communication button to view the connection status:

        • Ensure both remote to cloud and cloud to drone connections are green.

      • Once confirmed that the drone is connected to 4G, replace the cover on the CPU.

      • Ensure everything is buttoned up and secure before operation.
