J100 Left or Right side not Spraying

Liquid is only sprayed out of the Nozzles on one arm of the J100.

Causes:

  1. Loose connection to ESC or Solenoid
  2. Damaged ESC
  3. Damaged Solenoid
  4. Damaged Flow Meter

Solutions:

  1. Check all connections in the spray system
  2. Refresh the Spraying System Firmware Package
  3. Check all Solenoids on start up for proper function(Make sure you can hear each solenoid click individually on start up)
  4. Replace Solenoid if damaged
  5. Replace ESC if damaged
  6. Replace Flow Meter

Conclusion:

If the drone does not recognize that Spray Nozzles are attached to one arm of the drone it will not dispense any liquid out of the nozzles of that arm. Another reason one side could not be dispensing liquid is both Solenoids on that are have gone bad. Some reasons the drone may not recognize that nozzles are attached to an arm could be: a loose connection in the wiring harness, bad Nozzle ESC(s), or a faulty flowmeter.  All Signal Voltage to the spray system goes through the flow meter, to the nozzle ESCs, then to the Solenoids. This means if one part is damaged "upstream" it can cause the signal voltage not to reach the components further down the line.
