This article outlines the J100 Lidar coverage and limitations. To better assist the drone pilot with knowledge and awareness. DO NOT OPERATE J100 2 METERS OR CLOSER TO OBJECTS OR OBSTACLES.
J100 Lidar and Radar Coverage:
- Detection range of the laser compound eye vision system
- Forward-looking laser compound eye perception range: 120° horizontally, 70° vertically.
- Downward-looking laser compound eye perception range: 120° horizontally, 25° vertically.
- 360°4D imaging radar perception range: 360° horizontally, 50° vertically.
- Blind spot directly above the drone, and to the rear and above. (Shown in the pictures below).

Limits Of The J100 Lidar:
- Often, getting too close to an obstacle, the lidar might not be able to pick it up because of how close you are. Anything closer than 2 Meters from the forward-facing lidar, and 2 meters from the downward-facing lidar, will most likely not be picked up by the lidar.
- Operate with caution and a focus on safety, ensuring you maintain a proper distance from objects and obstacles so the Lidar can properly read its surroundings.
