J100 Pre-Flight Checks

This article outlines the steps to take for your pre-flight checks of your J100 UAV. These steps aim to reduce risk of drone failure or potential crash due to not checking vital components or errors prior to flight.

J100 Pre Flight Check Video

Steps:

1. Input battery into your J100

• Before inputting battery, physically inspect terminals on drone.
• Ensure they are clean and in good condition.
  (dirty or poorly maintenance on terminals can result 
  in arc welding the battery to the drone.)

2. Turn on your J100 UAV.

• Connect to remote controller.
• Ensure that there are no errors showing. 

• Fold out arms, rear arms first.
• Check for up and down play of arms, if there is tighten nut where arrow shows on picture below.
  
• Check for cracks and physically damage to arms.
  (If crack are found this needs replaced before flight.)

4. Latch Arm locking handle.

• Check for damage or loose pressure of locking handle.
• Ensure that the Lock Handle have the correct amount of pressure.

• Ensure that all four arms are latched closed.

5. Check all 4 Motors

• Ensure no play when pulling back and forth on motor. 

6. Check Proper Direction Clock wise (CW) and counter clock wise (CCW)

• Make sure Clock Wise (CW) propellers are on (CW) motor on (CW) arms.
  
• Make sure Counter Clock Wise (CCW) propellers are on (CCW) motors, on (CCW) arms.
  
  

7. Check Propellers

• Ensure Propellers are open and can be easily moved but are not loose.
• Inspect propellers for crack or damage. (If cracked or damaged this needs to be replaced prior to flight.)

8. Clean Lidar.

• Utilize a micro fiber cloth to wipe the front Lidar.
  
• and the downward facing Lidar.
