      J150 Flow Control & Overriding the Flow Meter

      This article gives information regarding the flow control and how to override the flow meter if needed for the EAV J150.

       

      Understanding the J150 Flow Control:

      • The flow control section is the area in your spray settings that allows you to select auto spray or flow meter override.
      • Selecting 'Auto Spray', which utilizes your flow meter to determine your flow to meet whatever Gallons Per Acre (GPA) you have set.
      • Additional Note: If you are spraying a product that is thicker or has air bubbles in it, sometimes the Flow meter cannot read this as accurately as it should.
      • Select 'Flow meter override' to override the flow meter and adjust the 'viscosity range', which adjusts the RPMs of the pumps. (This is very useful because even if you have a faulty flow meter, you can still run your spray operations by overriding it.)

       

      Now that there is some understanding, the steps to override the flowmeter are below:

      • Step 1. Select Settings on your RC screen.
      • Step 2. Select Spray Settings.
      • Step 3. Find the 'Flow Control' section under your spray settings.
      • Step 4. Select 'Flow meter override'
      • Step 5. Move the 'Viscosity range' down or up. (Remember, this is adjusting your RPMs on your pumps).
      • Step 6. Observe the flow rate and continue to adjust the viscosity range until your desired flow rate for your application has been achieved.
