      J150 How to Wire your ESC and Motor.

      This article outlines the steps for correctly wiring your ESC and Motors correctly to ensure proper functionality and minimize errors.

      How to wire your ESC to your J150 Motor

      Key Steps

       

      1. Identify CCW or CW for the specific arm you are working on 

      • Identify if the arm and its components should be CW or CCW.
        (The picture below shows which arm and motor should be CW or CCW.)

      If facing the same direction as the drone, the left front arm and motor is CW, the right front is CCW.

      The rear left is CCW, and the rear right is CW.


      2. To access the ESC and Motor Wires

      3. Connect Motor Cables to ESC

      • Identify the motor color-coded cables: Yellow, Orange, Blue

      • Identify the color-coded sign associated with wiring for CW or CCW on the side of the ESC 

      •  For Clock Wise (CW) wiring: Yellow cable connects to port A of the ESC, Orange to port B, and Blue to port C.

      • For Counter Clockwise (CCW) wiring: Blue cable connects to port A of the ESC, Orange to port B, and Yellow to port C.

        (The picture shown below is connected as (CW). Notice the label pattern is the same as the wires connected. Yellow, Orange, Blue.)

      Warning:  Ensure You Have wired the motor and ESC for the correct CCW or CW. Use the label on the side of the ESC to guide you to the correct cable pattern.

       

      4. Finish Connecting the ESC.

      • Connect the Positive (Red) and Negative (Black) to the back of the ESC .
      • Connect the signal cable to the ESC.

      • Secure signal cable connection in the clip holder.

      • Mount ESC back onto the bracket with the 4 screws taken off earlier.
      • Put the foam motor cover back on with the 4 screws taken off earlier.

       

      If you are putting a new ESC Motor on, you will need to configure it after it is installed and connected.

      Tips for Efficiency

      • Use zip ties to secure the motor signal cable for added stability.

      • Ensure all connections are firmly seated to avoid disconnections during operation.
