      J150 Installing FPV Bracket (to prevent static build up)

      This article outline the steps to properly install the FPV bracket on the J150

      To Prevent Static build-up behind the FPV module, an FPV bracket is utilized. This Video and article cover how to install the FPV bracket to prevent the static build-up on the J150.

       

      You will need a 2.5mm Hex head for the removal and installation of the screws.

      Key Steps

       

      Step 1: Remove 4, M3 x 6 Screws 0:01

      • Locate the 4 M3 x 6 screws behind the LED lights.

      • Optionally, remove the LED lights to gain better access.

      • Set the removed screws aside for later use.

       

      Step 2: Unplug FPV Camera Cables 0:24

      • Identify the two cables connected to the FPV camera:

        • Front cable labeled 'FPV'

        • Back cable labeled 'LED'

      • Carefully unplug both cables and set the camera aside.

       

      Step 3: Gain Slack in FPV Cable 0:50

      • Locate the clip underneath the FPV camera.

      • Loosen the clip on the right side to create slack in the FPV cable.

       

      Step 4: Install the 3D Printed Bracket 1:16

      • Align the notch on the 3D printed bracket with the FPV camera.

      • Slide the notch onto the camera.

       

      Step 5: Connect Cables to FPV Camera 1:38

      • Plug in the LED cable first, ensuring you hear and feel a click.

      • Next, plug in the FPV cable, lifting the bracket as needed to ensure a secure connection.

       

      Step 6: Secure the FPV Camera to the Bracket 2:04

      • Slide the FPV camera into the bracket notch and align the screw holes.

      • Ensure the camera is fully seated in the bracket.

       

      Step 7: Install Screws to Secure Camera 2:23

      • Use the 4 M3 screws removed earlier to secure the camera to the bracket.

       

      Step 8: Final Check 3:19

      • Visually inspect to ensure all connections are secure and the camera is properly mounted.

      Cautionary Notes

      • Ensure all connections are secure to avoid disconnections during operation.

      • Be careful when handling the cables to prevent damage.

      Tips for Efficiency

      • Removing the LED lights can provide better access and visibility during installation.

      • Always double-check that screws are properly tightened to prevent loosening during use.
