J150 & J70 Charger Differences and Similarities

This article covers the differences and similarities of the J150 and J70 Charging stations.

J150 vs J70 Charger Differences:

  • The J70  Charger has only one fan on each side compared to the two fans on each side of the J150 Charger. (This is because the J70 Battery, when inserted, does not go below the first fan, making a second fan pointless. While the J150 battery needs an extra fan because of its size.

  • Battery Size difference side by side.
    J70 about 30lbs, J150 about 45 lbs.
    J70-29,000 milliamps, J150-45,000 milliamps

  • Power Supply on the J70 and J150 Charger is different due to the J150 charger requiring a bigger power supply. (This increases the power and weight of the J150 charger compared to the J70 charger)

  • J150 Charger Peak power is 13,000 watts

  • J70 Charger Peak Power is 9,000 watts

The J70 Charger works on both J70 and J100 Batteries as long as the terminal blocks match the batteries.

J150 and J70 Charger Similarities

  • LED indicators are the same (Bluetooth, Battery, Status). Fan Controls: ('Auto', meaning anytime the battery is charging, the fan will be on, 'On' means the fan is always on, 'Off' means the fan is off.)

  • The design of the J150 and J70 Charger are identical in most ways. Both utilize fans on both sides, one pushing air through the battery and the other pulling air through. Therefore, keeping the battery cooling from the air flow through the cells while charging.
