 How to Calibrate the Compass on a J150 Drone

1. Open the calibration menu

• On the drone controller/app, go to Device.
• Under UAV, scroll down to Advanced Settings.
• In Advanced Settings, find the Magnetic calibration option.

2. Prepare the drone for calibration

• Have two people available to help rotate the drone.
• Lift the drone safely before starting the calibration.
• The video notes that this can also be done with one person, but two people makes it easier.

3. Start rotating the drone counterclockwise

• Begin rotating the drone counterclockwise.
• Watch the calibration progress percentage on the screen.
• Continue rotating steadily as the percentage increases.

4. Complete calibration at 100%

• Keep rotating until the progress reaches 100%.
• Once complete, the system will show calibration successful.
• Set the drone back down safely.

5. Restart the drone after calibration

• After calibration, perform a full restart using the internal battery.
• This restart is recommended to ensure the calibration takes effect properly.
