J150 Troubleshooting Spreading System Auger Motor Locked Rotor (26-033)

This article provides the troubleshooting steps for Spreading System: Auger Motor Locked- Rotor Error code (26-033).

J150 " Spreading System: Auger Motor Locked- Rotor Error code (26-033)

If this error occurs, follow the steps below to troubleshoot.

Steps:

1.  Make sure nothing is physically blocking, clogging, or restricting the auger.

( If there is a clog or block, remove and clean out the auger and see if this fixes the issue.)

2. If nothing is physically blocking or clogging the auger, or if you have already cleaned out the blockage. Perform a Spreader Calibration and see if it shows the error again.

3.  If the Error code shows again,  first check the cable to the auger motor for damage and proper connection. (Picture shown below)

• If damage is found on the cable on the Auger motor side, you will need to replace the auger motor.    Click Here for a J150 Auger Motor.  
• If damage is found on the Cable connecting to the CPU and not on the Auger motor side then you will need to replace the cable.    

4. If there is no damage to the cables, or if you replaced them and the issue is still present. Then you will need to replace the Auger Motor.

(Replacing the Auger Motor is the most common fix with this error code, if the auger is not physically blocked.)
