Inspecting the SDR Antenna on T50 Aircraft

Connecting the SDR Antenna

Connect the pink cables labeled SDR antennas from the RF module to the blue cables on the aircraft.

One cable has a black plug, the other has a white plug.

Match the white plug with the white connection and the black plug with the black connection.

Tighten the connections by hand and then give them an extra eighth of a turn using pliers.

Routing the Cables

Long cables from the RF module go to the opposite side of the aircraft.

Short cables go to the closer side of the RF module.

Physical Inspection of SDR Antennas and Cables

Inspect the SDR antennas and cables for any damage.

Ensure antennas fit back properly, cables are in good shape, and have not been pulled, stretched, bent, or kinked.

Check the cable connection to the frame.

Maintenance Recommendation

Replace SDR antennas every 700 flight hours.

This is part of the monthly inspection process.
