Inspecting the Motor on Agras T50 Drone

  1. Purpose: Monthly inspection to ensure the motor is in good condition.

  2. Check Props:

    • Fold out props.

    • Lift and push down alternately to check for any unusual sounds indicating bearing issues.

  3. Remove Props:

    • Check circlip that holds the top of the motor.

    • Replace if circlip is damaged.

    • Spin the motor to ensure it moves freely without grinding or hard spots.

  4. Inspect Ring at the Bottom:

    • Thicker ring on T50 compared to T40.

    • Check for damage, warping, or cracks.

    • Ring carries voltage and directs airflow for cooling the coils.

    • Damaged ring can lead to motor failure.

  5. Check Cable and Plug:

    • Inspect cable for damage.

    • Check plug and ensure it is secure.

  6. Maintenance Recommendation:

    • DJI recommends replacing motors every 700 flight hours.
