      Out of the box with your Autel drone.

      Starting with your new Autel Enterprise Drone and first flight

       

      1. Power & Battery Prep

      1. Fully charge all drone batteries and the remote controller.

      2. Insert a fully charged battery into the drone and ensure it’s properly locked.

      3. Unfold the arms – front arms first, then back arms (back to front) to avoid binding.

      4. Spread the propellers out by hand so they are flat and balanced for proper motor startup.

      2. Power On & Connection

      1. Turn on the remote controller.

      2. Turn on the drone (press–hold power button until lights flash).  Remove Gimble Cover first

      3. Wait for the controller and drone to connect automatically.

      3. Firmware & System Check

      1. Check for firmware updates (controller will prompt if needed).

      2. Perform updates if required – keep the drone on a flat surface.

      3. Restart both drone and controller when updates are complete.

      4. Calibration (If Required)

      1. Check if the controller requests calibration (IMU or compass).

      2. Perform calibration only if prompted:

        • IMU: Place the drone on a flat surface and follow instructions.

        • Compass: Rotate the drone as directed.

      5. Configure Flight Settings

      1. Set Return-to-Home altitude (e.g., 200–300 ft to clear local obstacles).

      2. Confirm Home Point is set to the takeoff location.

      3. Check camera settings (photo/video mode, resolution, storage space).

      6. Pre-Flight Checks

      1. Ensure propellers are secure and undamaged.

      2. Check battery levels (drone & controller).

      3. Confirm gimbal movement and camera feed are working.

      4. Make sure GPS lock is achieved (8+ satellites).

      7. First Takeoff

      1. Place the drone on a flat, open surface.

      2. Use auto-takeoff or stick command.

      3. Hover at 10–15 ft for 30 seconds and test controls.

      4. Land gently and review performance.
