Spot Spraying Missions in Pix4D Fields
The objective in this document is to successfully spot spray areas with DJI Agras Equipment after mapping with a enterprise drone.
Key Steps:
-
Access the magic tool on the system and adjust the cell size to match the swath length you aim to achieve.
-
Start the magic tool to prepare the grid for customization on the field.
-
Customize the spot spraying by adjusting the size and ensuring separate fields if using the T50 or T25. (Can utilize multifield tool on remote)
-
Create connecting routes between fields if needed and designate non-spray zones as necessary if using a T40 or T20P.
-
Name the area annotations and export the shapefile to a DJI folder on a USB drive, thumb drive, or SD card.
-
Pull the area shapefiles out of the zipped file.
- Make sure they are in a DJI folder, then a folder called ShapeFile.
-
Insert SD card into controller and select your shapefile areas.
Cautionary Notes:
-
Ensure proper naming and organization of files to avoid confusion during spot spraying missions.
-
Be cautious when designating non-spray zones to avoid accidental spraying.
Tips for Efficiency:
-
Set up separate fields for different equipment types to streamline spot spraying operations.
-
Keep the DJI folder organized with clear file structures for easy access during missions.
-
Regularly check and update the shapefile to maintain accuracy in spot spraying activities.
