T30/T10 Pre-Operation Setup and Checks

This article is an overview of what to check before starting your mission on your T30/T10 drone.

Drone Setup

  • Place drone in open area to be used for takeoff
    • Keep in mind potential obstacles to interfere with operations
      • Trees, Power lines, people, animals, etc.
    • If using in orchard mode, set the drone on the calibration point selected during the field editing process.
  • Unfold Arms
  • LOCK ARMS IN
  • Power On Remote Controller
  • Insert Battery In Drone
    • Once booted up, verify on controller you are connected to drone
      • Top controller light will be green if connected
  • Test sprayer/spreader
    • Put a small amount of water in the tank, then press the spray button.
    • Put a small amount of granular material in the tank and press the spray button.
      • Press button again to stop spraying/spreading
  • Fill up tank 
    • Use desired liquid, or granular product if using spreading tank

Drone Preflight Check

  •  Verify Arms are Locked in
    • Controller will notify you if arm is not locked
      • This is a nice reminder but do not solely rely on this.
  • Arms
    • Check for cracks in carbon fiber
    • Check for cracks in base where arms connect to drone body
  • Motor Mounts
    • Firmly grasp and slightly twist motor mounts to ensure they do not move
  • Props
    • Check for cracks, large chips
    • Prop screws are not loose
    • Nothing in path of props
  • Screws
    • Make sure various screws on drone are not missing or loose
  • Cameras
    • Cleaned off
  • Radar
    • Cleaned off and nothing covering it
      • Bottom and top radars
  • Spray Booms
    • Attached
    • Nozzles
      • Tight
      • Correct nozzles installed 
      • Nozzles clean and clear
  • ESC Lights
    • Ensure all esc lights are functioning


Controller Preflight Settings Check

Press “Execute Task” then do settings check below.

  • RC Antenna 
    • Unfold Antenna between 80° and 180°
  • GNSS or RTK
    • Verify RC says GNSS or RTK
  • RC Settings
  • Clear Trapped Air
    • Press and hold Spray Button to start process
      • Both Pumps clear

Beginning Flight

  • You are now ready to begin operations
