      T40/T50 Remote Controller Parts Overview

      This video and gives you a look inside the T40 or T50 remote controller and provides an overview of its internal components for maintenance or repair.

      Key Steps

       

      1. Open the Remote Controller 0:00

       

      2. Identify the Control Sticks 0:16

      • Remember that the left side of the remote is the right stick and vice versa when viewed from the back.

      • Order replacement parts based on which stick is malfunctioning.

      3. Handle the Ribbon Cable with Care 0:36

      • Be cautious with the ribbon cable as it is easy to tear or kink.

      • If unsure about completing the job quickly, unplug the ribbon cable immediately.

       

      4. Understand the Power Signal Cable 1:09

      • Identify the main power signal cable from the battery port board.

      • Ensure this cable is not damaged during disassembly.

       

      5. Locate Internal Components 1:41

      • Familiarize yourself with the internal components:

        • Two internal batteries

        • Cooling fan

        • USB-C port for the 4G dongle

        • Main core board

        • Control stick modules

        • Button board modules

        • GPS board

        • SDR board with antennas.

       

      6. Disconnect Flexible Flat Cables 3:27

      • Lift the black latch on each connector to disconnect the flexible flat cables.

      • Carefully remove the hot glue securing the cables without damaging the connectors.

       

      7. Replace Shell Modules 4:09

      • Each shell module can be replaced individually.

      • The front shell module comes with the screen embedded; transfer components from the old shell to the new one.
