 How to Remove and Reinstall the J150 Electromagnetic Valve (Solenoid)

1. Locate the valve and remove the mounting bolts 0:14

• Find the J150 electromagnetic valve/solenoid assembly.
• Remove the four 2.5 mm bolts holding it in place:
  • Two bolts on one side
  • Two bolts on the other side
• Use a drill or driver with a 2.5 mm bit to back them out.

2. Cut the zip ties securing the hoses 0:52

• Check whether the hoses are secured with zip ties.
• Use wire snips to cut the zip ties carefully.
• Do not cut the tubes themselves.
• These ties help keep the tubes from slipping and prevent leaks.

3. Disconnect the hose from the solenoid 1:12

• Locate the hose nut on the black tube.
• Loosen it by hand if possible.
• If it is tight, use pliers to break it loose first.
• Be prepared for liquid to spill out if the system was not fully drained.

4. Remove the solenoid from the assembly 1:57

• Rock the solenoid free from its seated position.
• Press the connector clip and unplug the solenoid.
• Pull the solenoid off the mount.

5. Install the replacement solenoid 2:11

• If reusing the original solenoid, skip to the next step.
• Place the new solenoid onto the mount.
• Plug the connector back in until it clicks.
• Push the solenoid into position and align the threads with the holes in the nozzle boot.
• Tighten the solenoid bolts first so the part does not shift while reconnecting the hose.
• Snug the bolts, but do not overtighten.

6. Reconnect the hose 2:53

• Make sure the nut is still on the pipe.
• Push the black tube down until it is fully seated.
• Tighten the hose connection by hand.
• It only needs to be snug enough to keep the pipe secure.

7. Replace the zip ties and finish up 3:49

• Reinstall zip ties where they were removed.
• Position them around the middle of each section for good clamping force.
• Tighten the zip ties securely.
• Cut off the excess tails.
• Confirm everything is seated and secured properly.
