This article outlines some of the key differences and big improvements of the J150 from the J100.
J150 Key Differences and Improvements from the J100
While both drones can get the job done, we here at Agri Spray Drones wanted to inform you on the BIG IMPROVEMENTS in the design and components of the J150. Largely based on feedback from users and customers of the J100. Efforts, followed by actions to bring to you the improvements you wanted, and are now built into the J150.

Quick Note: This article will NOT cover ALL the Improvements/differences, but only SOME of the Key Improvements.
1. SIZE
Bigger: Drone, Tank (20 Gallon), Spreader (180lbs capacity), Pumps, Nozzles, Battery, Swaths, and much more (The J150 is Simply Bigger)
2. ESC to Motor Connections
- Completely New Wiring and connectors for the ESC and Motor. (This is a huge improvement from the design of the connections on the J100).
3. New Wiring System: (New Wiring System = User-Friendly Troubleshooting)
- On the J150 everything connects to the CPU, so no more difficulty searching for what the problem exactly is based on what all is connected within that link, like on the J100 bus bar system.
- Now, when you get an Error, you will know exactly where the problem area is on the J150.
- This will streamline repairs and troubleshooting, giving you more time back in the air.
4. Drone Obstacle Detection
- The J150's addition of the Upper/ Front Radar provides obstacle detection above the drone. This is solving the blind spot of the J100, as well as adding additional detection to the front of the drone by pairing the radar with the lidar. This acts as a wonderful fail-safe, if the lidar was faulty, the radar would detect the obstacle and vice versa. The J100 relies on only lidar in the front of the drone.
- The J150 utilizes the combination of Lidar, Upper/Front Radar, and Rear Radar. With this combination, spherical detection all the way around the drone is accomplished.

5. Spray System Improvements: (Bigger Swaths, 4 Nozzles included, Bigger Tank, Redesigned Nozzles, Bigger and higher flow rate capable Pumps, Redesigned Solenoid)
Spray Width (Swath)Differences.
- The J150 has the largest swath we have ever seen in testing while running 4 nozzles!
We will let you determine the difference in swaths by clicking the links below: - Click Here for J150 Swath Testing Results Click Here for J100 Swath Testing Results
Addition of the 4 Nozzle Spray System. - On the J150, 4 nozzles come attached to the drone. You can change it from a 2-nozzle spray system to a 4-nozzle spray with a simple button on your RC, and the turn of a shut-off valve in between your nozzles.
- The J100 requires you to purchase and install a 4-nozzle kit if you want the capability of running a 4-nozzle spray system.
Spray Tank Size. - The J150 spray tank boasts a 20 Gallon Spray tank. The J100 has an 11.8-gallon spray tank. Nearly double the capacity in the spray tank for the J150.
Spray Nozzle Differences. - The J150 can push more fluid due to over double the space for fluid to be pushed out in the nozzle disc. The J100 nozzle would sometimes become flooded if running too high a flow rate due to the smaller area size of the nozzle disc. (We have not seen the J150 Nozzles become flooded at any time through testing).
Nozzle Side-by-Side Comparison below

- The J150 pumps have larger outlets than the J100 on both the impellers and outlet area, allowing a higher volume of fluid to be pushed throughout the spray system.
- The J150 Pumps are capable of a 10.5 Gallon-per-minute flow rate.
Solenoids - The J150 Solenoid has been redesigned from the J100. This new design allows for some movement within the solenoid, nozzles and cable connections. On the J100, the plastic connector did not allow for much movement, which resulted in the solenoid connection point breaking on occasion.
6. RC connection to Drone Improvements: (Connection Power, Strong anti-interference mode)
- On the J150 to fly 2 drones in the same field you simply need to go to settings, select flight settings on your RC, and under image transmission power, select Strong anti-interference. This will allow the flight of two drones in the same field without connection issues.
7. Spreader System
- The J150 spreader has an auger motor system, unlike the J100 spreader, which only utilizes gravity.
- The Auger motor system provides better product feeding and consistent flow while spreading
- J150 Spreader tank has 180 LB capacity. The J100 has a 110 LB capacity.
Simply put, the J150 is newly designed and improved, enhancing the SIZE, POWER, PRECISION, and PERFORMANCE, and has gone through serious in-depth testing prior to its release in the United States.
